Video: Andrew about TechHub Manchester

Andrew Ko, CEO Moment.Us

The other day Andrew briefly talked about why TechHub Manchester is “a good place to be”, sitting on one of the two very comfortable leather sofas in our creative working environment. The fact that you can see everyone having a good time is because, well, guess what, we really love what we’re doing. Very often we forget to leave the office and we come back on Sundays, we treat ourselves with the goodies Sarah brought from the States (still waiting to try that pumpkin flavoured coffee), we search for Andrew hidden behind piles of books and research papers (as he’s finalising his PhD thesis), we play table tennis and get smacked by Mihai’s secret super (quietly advertised) skills and we consume large quantities of falafel wraps.

Andrew’s also mentioned that one of the personal reasons why he chose Manchester to start up a company is, weirdly enough (but not for us, we knew that already), the overcast weather. Given the fact that our Moment.Us app recommends music according to your location, weather, time of day and mood, we know for sure that at least one person will be happy when it rains! 😉

It’s the first technology of its kind, and is easily integrated into mobile apps. Personality is another psychometric variable that can be used to understand people on a deeper level so they can be served more relevant and personalised mobile experiences. Visit for more details.
